“The law of the strongest” is the competition between two monkeys and a gorilla to win a bunch of bananas. The little monkey proved itself clever in devising a plan to get them in the first place. It proves itself even more ingenious when having to win them again over two taller and stronger competitors. This story – with its rhyming couplets and colourful illustrations – is both entertaining and thought-provoking as it teaches children how wit can challenge “the survival of the fittest”
