“The wanderer of the seasons” is part of a series of haikus, one in which the reader becomes a “season traveller” and walks upon a winding path somewhere in Japan. The path is interpersed with the verse of Santoka Taneda, Roséki, Hashin and Ringaï, one for every season: summer, autumn, winter and spring. One can collect items representing each of the four seasons and reread the verse corresponding to it, and with it, reminisce the plants and the wildlife that were encountered during the walk.
